Variable Sensitivity Study On Composite Material Properties. |
This research was about finding the sensibility of composite material properties. The purpose of this variable sensitivity study was to solve an essential problem for engineers. Engineers will always face a situation that they have a task in hand that has a particular load on a component, and the material they have does not meet the requirement, so they need to find new materials. However, there are thousands of materials that are applicable for this job. Therefore, a variable sensitivity study on the composite material properties provides engineers and designers with a direction to look for. The process of achieving the first reasonable dataset was very rigorous. I simulated four sets of experiments, for the flexural test, I used static load, frictionless contact, and explicit dynamics to cross-verify my answer. One of the most crucial parts of a research paper was interpreting the data collected because, without a proper explanation, data was meaningless and chaotic. I tried to find the pattern and a convincing reason among those data points. Thus, as on page 15 shown, I created a variable sensitivity plot to make the trend of the material property more pronounced. Then I used several different methods to find a regression model that fits my tests. This data interpretation highlighted my ability to explain technical data. Researchers usually will do hundreds of trials and collect numerous data, and they need to show the audience a path, through seemingly random data points with a clear explanation.
