Research Interests.
The career goal for me is simple: ask questions no one knows the answer and seek solution in our (or other's) universe.
Variable Sensitivity Study
I conducted this research project in Summer 2020 with Dr. Jones and Dr. Riley as my supervisors who provide many inspirations and suggestions. This study is about answering the question: "How should an engineer look for materials if the current one does not meet the requirements?". Four experiments are modeled, and test data is collected to generate a broader perspective on how material property will affect the specimen behavior.
Uncertainty Quantification
I started this project in late August 2020 with Dr. Jones and Dr. Riley as my supervisors. This project will model the composite material properties as several equations and weighing them differently to generate a unique and random value. Then utilizing numerical methods such as K-L expansion for different covariance kernel to quantify the randomness in material properties. I will update the process as things move on.
Aeroelasticity/Fluid Structure Interaction
I have a great intuition for solid mechanics and I am a fan of fluid mechanics. Combined with my childhood dreams, I found out an area called aeroelasticity which fits my interest very well.
Anything challenging and fun!
My main interest is in the Astronautic and Mechanical applications, but I am open to any topic interesting regarding numerical methods, FEA, CFD, data processing, machine learning and more. My strength lies in my learning ability. I may not have the skills now, but I am very confident that I will learn necessary skills fast.
